The amateur division is led by Scott Carpenter, who shot a six-under par 65. Three players are tied for second behind him. Preston French, Josh Rhodes, and Jordan Smith all shot five-uner par.
There is a tie for first in the professional division, between Cameron Carrico and Jerry Price, both shot a 66 on the day.? There is a five way tie for second behind the two.
Between professionals and amateurs,?a total of twenty-six players shot under par during Saturday's opening round.? The?36-hole competition comes to a close?on?Sunday, with the first players teeing off at 6:24 AM.? The purse for the professional winner is $8,000, while the amateur winner will take home $750.
